Transmission Service

By replacing the old, contaminated fluid in your transmission with new fluid, parts can move freely, which reduces wear and prolongs transmission life.

Complete Fluid Exchange Service

The T-Tech total fluid exchange can safely and completely exchange virtually all of the fluid in the transmission system, including the fluid in the torque converter. Heat is the enemy of transmission fluid. The fluid contains several light base oils and an extensive additive package to control foaming, slippage, lubricating properties, etc. Heat attacks the additives and oxidizes or burns them off leaving you primarily with base oils. In order to slow the oxidation of the additives, vehicles have an oil cooler, usually in the radiator. The fluid is circulated through it every 4-5 minutes. The T-Tech systems has 3 ½ gallons of new fluid and is connected in-line between the transmission and the cooler. By running the vehicle (and its transmission fluid pump), the old fluid enters the T-Tech rather than the cooler. It pushes new fluid into the cooler and transmission, rather than return the old fluid.
Because the T-Tech is merely an inline 3 ½ gallon extension of the vehicle’s transmission, it will not cause damage to the transmission system. The T-Tech is a passive systems that is driven by the vehicle’s transmission fluid pump, so it cannot displace seals, plug screens, over or under pressurize, or over or under fill. It is operating in the same manner as if the vehicle was being driven, except that the old fluids are being replaced with new.

The T-Tech total fluid exchange is a process that provides a complete fluid change and superior protection for your automatic transmission.

Drain and Fill Service

Many vehicles are designed with a convenient drain plug to remove the automatic transmission fluid. Our drain and fill automatic transmission fluid replacement includes,

• Remove and inspect the transmission drain plug
• Drain fluid from the automatic transmission.
• Flush up to 1 quart of new automatic fluid filler tube.
• Re-install drain plug.
• Add new automatic transmission fluid to correct fill level.

Belt Replacement

Replacing worn or broken belts will help protect you from unexpected breakdowns. Worn, cracked or slipping belts can leave you stranded on the side of the road when they break. Modern cars, which use one serpentine belt to power all engine components, must have this belt to run. Checking and replacing broken belts when needed gives reliability and peace of mind when operating your vehicle.

We will check your belts during every Platinum Service Oil Change and advise you if your car needs attention. We can schedule a replacement time and often perform these services while you wait. We offer serpentine belt replacement on newer cars, accessory drive belt replacement on older cars where applicable.

Coolant Service

Service Interval: 30,000 - 100,000 depending on vehicle

Replacing old, worn coolant extends radiator life, and keeps your engine running at the correct operating temperature.

Automotive cooling systems are responsible for maintaining the correct operation temperature of the engine. Antifreeze/coolant serves several purposes as it flows through the engine’s heating core and cooling system. It prevents rust and corrosion from forming on internal parts and removes extreme heat to the radiator to be dispersed. Replacement in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations provides fresh rust and corrosion inhibitors and reduces the chances of freezing in extremely low temperature or boil over in extremely high temperatures.

Air Filter Service

Recommended Service Interval: check/replace every 9,000 miles(or as needed)

Replacing dirty air filter elements keeps your car running efficient and environmentally friendly. A clean air filtration system maintains maximum engine efficiency. The air filter allows proper air flow capacity to enter the combustion chamber, where gas and air are mixed. Routine replacement can improve your vehicle fuel economy, as well as reduce the amount of abrasive particles (as small as a grain of salt) from entering the combustion chamber. It can also improve acceleration and idling.

We stock a full array of replacement air filter elements in stock, and this service can be performed while you wait.

Breather Element

The breather element filters the unburned gases being re-circulated into the combustion chamber from the crankcase. This helps to maintain correct fuel economy and idling. It also prevents oil and gases form accumulation in the air filter housing.

PCV Valve

The Positive Crankcase Ventilation or PCV valve regulates the flow of unburned gases from the crankcase back into the combustion chamber, to be re-burned. The valve helps maintain correct fuel economy and idling, and prevents oil and gases from accumulation in the air filter housing.
